Having brought together key stakeholders from the Government, regional public utilities, DFIs, IPPs, financiers and solution providers, the 5th Tanzania Energy Cooperation Summit in Arusha presented an invaluable opportunity for a two-day immersion into proactive and solution-oriented discussions. The summit explored a broad range of topics, including: successful examples of PPPs in both generation and transmission, the role of DFIs in enhancing credit to accelerate projects, Tanzania's ambitious plans to become a critical regional player through transmission and interconnection projects, as well as the factors needed for Tanzania to reach its total renewable energy potential.

We are excited to confirm that the next edition of the summit will be back in Arusha, January 2025, and will take place under the patronage of the EAC (East African Community).
This partnership with the EAC has a primary objective of bolstering the region’s energy sector and enhancing collaboration among all East African countries. Thus, the event will take place under its newly rebranded name, The East Africa Energy Cooperation Summit.
